These pieces were made for an upcoming indie game called 'Record of Descent’, a modernised retro 2D action-platformer. I was tasked with making a piece of main menu music that captures the fantasy theme as well as the sense of adventure given by the gameplay. I drew inspiration for the cave level from eastern music and instruments and let the percussion drive the piece similar to ‘Goron City’ from the Ocarina of Time soundtrack.
